Empowering individuals to achieve the best health and well-being
Erika Campos – OTA Neurological Occupational Therapy Founder
I am passionate about empowering individuals to achieve the best version of their health and well-being. Looking at my journey, I developed a keen interest in neurological rehabilitation over the past 17 years working in the community public and private sectors, providing allied health services to support individuals’ return to function. It has been my intention to have a wide range of experience focusing on neurological therapy for the past 10 years. I have worked with several different diagnostic backgrounds, including:
-
- Acquired or traumatic brain injury (ABI/TBI)
- Stroke or TIA
- Multiple sclerosis
- Parkinson’s Disease
- Degenerative Neurological disorders
- Post Concussion Syndrome (PCS)
- Functional neurological disorder
- Genetic neurological disorder
- Others
I developed a specialty within neurological and acquired brain injury community rehabilitation while working for a private clinic. Within this role,
I was trained in constraint-induced movement. My fields of experience also includes assisting in developing robotic upper limb rehabilitation protocols for severe neurological patients. I now dedicate my professional experience to helping clients in my private Occupational Therapy Clinic, OT Campos. My commitment is to provide evidence-based clinical practice in neurological rehabilitation services to clients and families in the community. I am always excited about ensuring clients build confidence in participating in meaningful activities in a safe and supportive environment. That is why OT Campos exists. I have developed great empathy and compassion through working within the health field in different cultures. Being raised with solid values and respect for human rights, I developed advanced language and communication skills while working overseas and in Australia. In my personal life. I volunteer in community-based projects which support vulnerable individuals in Australia and overseas. I am a passionate dancer with roots in my South American heritage, and I enjoy music in all its forms.
